I only have a couple of updates for you this week. As a reminder, there is no school on Friday as it is a teacher in-service day. We only have 9 weeks left of school and a lot to get to!

We are going to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art on April 1st. I am still looking for chaperones, so if you want to come, please sign up on the post from 2 weeks ago.
We are going to the Cabrillo High School Aquarium on April 10th. I am looking for chaperones for this field trip as well. Please sign up on the post from 2 weeks ago.

6th Grade
A Wrinkle In Time Vocabulary Test - Wednesday. March 26
Unit 5 Final Assessment - Wednesday, April 2
adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals
Projects
5th grade
Students should be working on their science fair projects. They submitted their proposals on Friday. This week, they must submit their hypothesis (If I do this, then this will happen).
Students will receive extra credit on their projects if they enter it into the Stem Expo. You can get more information on this at https://ccstemexpo.org/ The deadline to register online is April 18th, but you must return the pre-registration forms to me by this Thursday, March 27th.
State Testing Schedule
State testing is a little over a month away. Please ensure your student is present on the following dates so they can take the state test on time and do not have to miss end of the year activities for make-ups.
5th Grade Science Test: May 5-9
ELA and Math Testing for everyone: May 12-16.
